Review: If you haven’t read Shatter Me, that’s where this story begins. Read my review here. Then, go read this entire series!
Juliette and Adam find a safe place to hide at the Omega Point Training Complex. Juliette trains to better use her powers better. Adam begins testing to find out why he can touch Juliette. The reason makes so much sense but it is also heart-wrenching! Then, Omega Point kidnaps Warner and holds him hostage. This causes Juliette to learn about Warner as a person. This also causes her to question her relationship with Adam.
This book is so much more than a love story. There are so many twists and turns throughout the entire book. You begin to wonder if anyone will ever get a break! Will there be a “happy ever after”? Will the resistance be able to find a plan to overthrow Warner’s father? Plus, let’s not forget about Tahereh Mafi’s writing style…so wonderful! She makes you want to rush to the end to find out what happens, but at the same time makes you want to read slowly to draw out the story.
Summary: Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She’s finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.
In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam’s life.
