Review: Kiera Cass has done it again! She is the Queen of the cliffhanger. Ms. Cass, HOW can you allow a book to end this way?? I closed the book with teas in my eyes and the thoughts “What! What! How can you just end a book like this?!?” I was intrigued about this next installment. How would it work to have a house full of boys clamoring for the Princess’s attention? Especially when the Princess does not seem to really want them there. Nor does she really understand how to be an approachable person. As you read the book, there are three or four boys you know will end up being the final ones. But you have no idea which one she will choose or why! Plus, I enjoyed seeing how Maxon and America (the main characters from the previous books) grew up and changed. Plus revisiting many of the other characters from the first books.
I love, love, love this series. If you have not read it, you need to. It’s a bachelor/bachelorette plot in a fairy tale setting. Kiera Cass, I can’t wait for the next installment! I hope you are in the process of finishing it soon.
Summary: Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the Selection and won Prince Maxon’s heart. Now the time has come for Princess Eadlyn to hold a Selection of her own. Eadlyn doesn’t expect her Selection to be anything like her parents’ fairy-tale love story. But as the competition begins, she may discover that finding her own happily ever after isn’t as impossible as she always thought.
